VW Golf MK1 ‘Campaign’ Model
Well any VW Golf nut knows the model to have is a Campaign edition. These fetch higher prices price than standard Mk1 gti. Around 5-6 years ago these models were demaning sky high prices, this unfortunatley have dropped considerably, but it will only be a matter of time before the prices increase. Just look at the VW Beetle, pretty much the same has happened to that, but that has gone it cycles. When there is a resurge in interest the price immediatley rockets. I will not go into the ins and outs of defining a 'GENUINE' MK1 golf as there are numerous sites that do that , Most with differing views. Corrado Information
The Corrado was Built by Volkswagen between 1988-1995, In Osnabruck, Germany. The Successor of the VW Scirocco the Corrado Failed to impress as a BIG seller, although Now very Popular among VW Enthusiasts.
Available with 1.8 16v, 1.8 Supercharged, 2.0, 2.8 VR6 and 2.9 VR6 engines together with superb handling the Corrado now offers great value for money in the Used and Enthusiast Market.
Certain 'rough' Examples now can be purchased for around £1k, with the Extremely higly sought after Corrado storms commanding over six times that. Nice examples can be found from £2000-3000. If your think of purchasing a Corrado check out the many Enthusiats site and View as many examples before deciding. Beware of the Supercharged version as these can be temperamental so always see if it has had a new/recon one recently and ask to see the receipt.
